(Approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India) The One-Year Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) Course is a residential program that leads to a B.Sc. in Nautical Science after the completion of 18 months of sea service. It also qualifies candidates for the 2nd Mate (Foreign Going) Certificate of Competency, awarded by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. This certification enables cadets to serve as Navigating Officers on board Merchant Navy ships anywhere in the world. During the initial 18 months of sea service, cadets participate in a Distance Learning Programme (DLP), receiving the necessary onboard study materials to continue their academic education while gaining practical experience. With additional sea service and by passing the required examinations, cadets can advance to higher ranks — first as Chief Officer, and ultimately achieving the rank of Captain of a ship. Our training academy provides full guidance and assistance for placement opportunities to successful and meritorious students. The career path outlined below demonstrates how a candidate can rise to become a Captain.
PHASE 1 : After Diploma in Natiucal Science course Join as a Cadet

PHASE 2 : After 18 months Sea Experience & DLP by university & passing 2nd Mate Exam get promoted as 2nd officer
(Salary 3,000 USD Per Month / In Indian Currency Rs 2.55 Lakhs Per Month)
PHASE 3 : with further Sea Experience & passing chief Mate Exam get Promoted as Chief Officer
(Salary 6,000 USD Per Month / In Indian Currency Rs 5. Lakhs Per Month)
PHASE 4 : with further Sea Experience TO BE PROMOTED as CAPTAIN (10,000 $)

Pass in HSC / (10+2) From a Recognized Board with 60% Average in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics Subject). (or) B.sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years with an average of not less than 55% marks in the Final Year. (or) BE (or) B.Tech Degree.
Up to 25 years.
